| Vermilion Cliffs Top
cabochon: Fused Dichroic Glass Combination The Vermilion Cliffs are the second "step" up in the five-step Grand Staircase of the Colorado Plateau. The cliffs extend from an area near Page, Arizona to the west for a considerable distance, in both Arizona and Utah. Over one hundred thousand acres were designated as the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness in 1984, and an even greater area was proclaimed as Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in 2000. Lee's Ferry and Glen Canyon, both made famous by John Wesley Powell and his expeditions, are nearby. Worth visiting. Note: This is a very large pendant (see dimensions above). |
