Situated on a dramatic point on the southern tip of Greece, the Temple of Poseidon is dedicated to the Greek God of the Sea. In Roman times, this same God was known as Neptune. But this story is all about location, location, location. Dramatic, ancient, isolated.....fully exposed to the beautiful Agean, the Temple of Poseidon is a peaceful landmark, serenely erect for the past 2500 years. It was my favorite place in Greece.
